Welcome to the show!!! Today on the Hammer & Ellen J show, our favorite chef---Chef Cherise---will be cooking up Citrus Chicken and Vegetables. If you would like to join us, and cook with us, 319-527-6099 is the number.

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into strips
1 large red onion, cut into strips
1 large yellow bell pepper, cut into strips
½ pound asparagus, cut into pieces
1 handful of bean sprouts
1/3 cup fresh orange juice  
1 teaspoon fresh garlic clove minced
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
¼ teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
In a large skillet, heat the oil over a medium heat. Add the chicken and onion, and sauté until no pink remains in the chicken, stirring occasionally. Add the bell peppers and cook for a few minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer over a low heat until the asparagus is tender, stirring occasionally. Eat with your favorite side or as a meal!

Remember do not eat more than 6oz’s.
