David and his men approach Nabal for provisions in 1 Samuel 25.  Samuel has died and David seeks to fulfill his leadership as the leader of Israel's army.  He seeks a favor from Nabal as David and his men protected Nabal's shepard's while they were in the field guarding the sheep.  The shepards acknowledge David's protection, however, Nabal rebukes David's request for provisions.  David is empowered to retaliate against Nabal until Nabal's spouse, Abigail, confronts David with provisions and apologizes on behalf of Nabal.  Supernaturally, Nabal dies suddenly and David takes Abigail as a wife.  God has prepared our audience to hear our pleas.  Oftentimes, we are confused about persons that are prepared to receive us as believers.  We are to pay no attention when we are rebuked or scandalized for righteousness sake.  It is an emblem of our faith and our salvation.  When the temptation is greatest and our needs are greatest, God will prepare an outcome that we did not expect.  God has prepared our blessings for us in advance.
