One sad note the Hillary campaign takes on. Many of her supporters are icons, personalities, known people - like Geraldine Feraro, like Madeline Albright, and they get caught up in her campaign and will say the things she needs them to say. Hillary was a Goldwater Girl and the President of the Young Republicans in college. Bernie Sanders was at the University of Chicago. He marched with Dr. King. He was with C.O.R.E. (Congress on Racial Equality) he was arrested for protesting segregated housing and segregated schools. What difference does that make? They were both kids. Well, it shouldn't have made a difference until another icon, a civil rights leader, a key participant in the movement said "he never saw Bernie Sanders in the movement, but he did see Bill & Hillary Clinton." He was called on this by some of his colleagues, including Rep. Keith Ellison who said, "I don't care how good your eyesight is, you can't stand in Alabama and see Chicago." So, the next day, Rep. Lewis "clarified" that he didn't mean to imply that Bernie wasn't in the civil rights movement & he really hadn't met the Clinton's in the 60's, but he was in Arkansas in the 70's around the time Bill Clinton was there (not adding that according to his statement in a book, he was introduced to Bill Clinton in 1991 Emma Young Chicgo
