After high school, Farron enrolled in the Army at age 19. This experience shaped his life then and continues to be a major passion in his life today.

We will be talking about that and what happened while he was serving. A pivotal moment happened during a routine physical in 1999 when his blood work determined that he had Sickle Cell Trait. In 2006 while participating in a physical fitness test, he collapsed with trait exertion. He will be explaining what that means along with what the differences are between Sickle Cell Anemia and Sickle Cell Trait.

After 24 years, Farron retired as a Sargent First Class. He has a keen appreciation for the Military Service Men and Women especially those that have struggled emotionally and physically once their service was over. He is actively involved in Veteran concerns.

We will also be talking about Farron's relationship with his dad and the lasting effects that they have had on him as a man, father, and the grandpa he is today.
