The PGA Tour is well known for the large amounts of money they give to charity but many of us don't know about the less publicized events they undertake. One such event is Birdies for the Brave and Operation Shower. Today's guest John Tashner joins us live from the Phoenix  Open and will tell us about these community outreach programs that the tour supports.

Straight Down the Middle is Arizona's only internet golf show produced by the Boomer and the Babe Inc in partnership with Golfmix.com.Straight Down the Middle is hosted by Pete Peters, Jon Bloom, founder of Golfmix.com and Kirk Getsinger also of Golfmix. Jon has had a long love of golf and that prompted him to start Golf Mix.com, an online golf community for the average golfer.

Jon Bloom is a well known voice in the valley as an Arizona Cardinals broadcaster and his work on 620 sports talk radio. Jon has worked such major events as the US Open and The Masters for the national TV networks.

Pete Peters is a newspaper guy turned internet radio host of The Boomer and the Babe Show and Arizona Boomer Radio.

Pete has been teeing it up for fifty years. He Owned, Published and Wrote for his own golf paper, "Southwest Golf" where he covered the PGA, LPGA and Senior Tours in Arizona, Southern California, and Nevada. He has played in countless charity events as well as PGA and LPGA Pro-Ams.

Kirk is a retired attorney, avid golfer and one of the driving forces behind Golfmix.

Join Jon, Kirk, Pete and their guests Thursday at 9AM as they talk about Arizona events, courses, resorts, golf businesses, interviews with golf pros, and others involved in the game. You may even learn how to keep it Straight Down the Middle.
