As a performer and artist it is important to know your audience, along with mode of performce media.  As a female stand up artist I struggeled to find my audience and still feel like I am searching. One day I met the very good friend of a famous stand up artist who had passed away. We spoke for hours on comedy and getting the right moment to find your audience, and it just takes time.  He spoke of his famous friends struggle and then success also provided me with great insight
