Lynchings: The Rise and Fall of Mobocracy!
This week we take a quick look at Lynchings in the U.S., past and present. On last week's program, "Ramarley Graham: No Justice - No Peace," I made a strong statement in likening the murder of Ramarley by the New York Police Department to that of a lynching. Moreover, the same holds true in the cases of Trayvon Martin (Florida), Shantel Davis (New York) and the many others we never hear about. Yes, this was and is a powerful statement and stance, and now I go on to explain why that comparison is accurate. Let's stop playing around and learn to call things what they are.
Our goals are to save lives and empower people by raising their levels of consciousness! We must realize that whether or not our Struggle Continues, those cycles of oppression - discrimination- and racism, has and will! We have the power to replace self-destruction with self-determination -- so let's do it!
