Last week, seven African American Youth, allegedly, forcibly raped a seven year-old African American girl, in Trenton New Jersey. The community was outraged; however, many failed to speak up or speak out against this disgusting crime because they were fearful that the neighborhood gangs would retaliate against anyone who spoke to the police. This incident, as well as other horrific crimes, is being carried out by thugs and gang members throughout many African American and Latino communities on a regular basis. Since the police are unwilling or incapable of alleviating crime in African American and Latino communities, I must ask the question: Should African Americans and Latinos form community militias to protect their families? Please join me this Thursday, April 8th, 2010 @ 8pm to discuss and debate the pros and cons of establishing a community based security entity.
