Podcast 188B is a re-posting, with a different program description, of audio podcast #188 (RE: Advertising is the most potent influence in adapting and changing the habits and modes of life affecting what we eat, what we wear, and the work and play of a whole nation.” Calvin Coolidge) and a prelude to podcast #191 entitled (America’s) “Darkness and John 8:41 PT. 2”. Not even two “hands worth” of individuals have listened to podcast #188; I have not a clue as to why that number is so pitifully low - comparably “speaking” - to podcast #178. Many people in America think and believe that morality cannot be legislated; the real issue is not the aforementioned one but this one: “Whose morality will be legislated?” That question is why America the NATION was finally established in 1787 as a “constitutional republic” with the first ten amendments added to the original constitution in 1791. From a primarily “spiritual” perspective [John 8:41 and John 4:23-24] and secondarily a physical and natural perception, evil leads to Baal and Baal to darkness. [Cf. Gen.1:2] The other side of the “coin” is: darkness leads to Baal and Baal to evil. The “edge of the coin” - your “Baal” - is this political and religious question: “What is truth?” [See John 18:38] Benjamin Franklin once claimed: “This will be the best security for maintaining our liberties; a nation of well-informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the religion of ignorance that tyranny begins.”
