Often when the media, law enforcement, community activist and people in general speak of the tragedy that transpired in Ferguson, Missouri in 2014, they tend to speak from the perspective of pain and loss. However, there is a more powerful and productive way to view it all! Perhaps we should look at the proactive message of Michael Brown’s life and the commonality he had with many African American males across Urban America - well beyond Ferguson.
