There are too many athletes committing suicide due to Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy. This progressive degenerative disease, referred to as CTE, is diagnosed post-mortem in individuals with a history of multiple concussions and other forms of head injury.

More than 2,400 retired players are now plaintiffs, looking for the kind of success smokers had against the tobacco companies. The result then was a landmark, $206-billion settlement shared among 46 states. But the ex-players face a huge challenge as they take on a multibillion dollar industry that is focused on the most popular sport in America.

The Sports Girls LLC is a new company designed to educate America on football via the athletes, coaches, and trainers by spending time with players, on and off the field. There goal is to educate America on the game itself -- the good, bad, and the ugly.

Toss the ball will us about concussions in football and find out more about The Sports Girls LLC with our guest Beth Silverberg LIVE July 11th @ 7PM EST at BEYONDtheCheers on blogtalkradio. Dial-in TOLL FREE 1-877-357-2448 in Canada and United States to ask a question, or email in advance.
