Injury in sport is not new.  But what is, are the reports of injuries that have made their way out of the sport section and into the forefront of mainstream media.

Physical activity in sport and recreation is a critical component of healthy child development.  When injury occurs it can impact an individual’s quality of life in different ways.

Sometimes the injury is short-term or permanent.

The Play Safe Initiative (PSI) is a collaborative group responding to the urgent call from government and non-government organizations concerned with the personal, social and economic burden of acute and chronic injuries sustained as a result of participation in sport.

Be a part of safe sport, recreation and physical activity in your community, join us in conversation LIVE with Dr. Susan Forbes on Wednesday February 15th, 2012 @ 7PM EST at BEYONDtheCheers on blogtalkradio.
