You know this funny lady from her many roles on such TV shows as Martin and Curb Your Enthusiasm—not to mention big screen roles in Nutty Professor 2 and We Bought a Zoo—but you may not know how she got her start in Tinseltown. "When I came out to Los Angeles, I had a degree and I needed to do something. Because you gotta always build a factory while you're on a job.  And I knew I wanted to be an actress, but I needed to feed myself and clothe myself, so I decided to be a teacher," she tells host Janette Smith Online Janette Smith. "A friend of mine who lived in Compton was like, 'Oh, come be a substitute.' And I went and did it because teaching was my second career choice. I love kids."
