    Kym Whitley: Actress/Comedienne

    in Entertainment

Funny, talented, and driven don't quite define quadruple-threat actress, producer, director and stand-up comedienne Kym E. Whitley.

JOIN JANETTE AND KYM as they discuss the "Hollywood Hustle" and how Kym has been able to reinvent and reposition herself for success in her field.

    www.KymWhitley.net
Kym created and co-hosted her own evening talk show on BET entitled “Oh Drama!” These same qualities have made her an in-demand player, starring alongside some of Hollywood’s elite in such box office hits as “Fun With Dick and Jane”, Along Came Polly”, “The Perfect Man”, “Deliver Us From Eva” and “Next Friday”. After a scene stealing run as the hilarious, wisecracking secretary in the UPN comedy series “Sparks”, Whitley became a staple on television guest-starring on popular shows like “Grey’s Anatomy”, HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, Disney’s “That’s So Raven”, ABC’s “My Wife And Kids”, UPN’s “Love Inc.” & “The Parkers, “The Boondocks” on the Cartoon Network and most recently on"School Pride"- the school makeover show.

In addition to her film and television appearances, Kym performs side-splitting stand-up routines weekly at “Whacked Out Wednesdays” comedy night at Sierra’s Café in Studio City, CA with her “partner in laughs” Buddy Lewis.

Due out this summer, she will co-star with Vivica A. Fox in the film “The Salon”, and appear in the new ABC comedy series “What About Brian” from acclaimed director/producer J.J. Abrams. Simultaneously, Whitley also owns and operates Kwick Whit Productions and has several projects in development.

12-16-15- Dr. Hildy® and Veronica Hendricks: Aliens, 'The Key' and Intelligent Machines

The question of whether or not we are alone in the universe is one of the greatest that we have never been able to answer. Our galaxy is impossibly vast, and it is just one of billions in our universe. The human brain cannot even comprehend the size of existence. Given this size, the probability that we are the only life out there seems extremely low. While most people will never learn the answer to this, there are some that believe they know the truth - and the truth is no, we are not alone.

This week on One Cell One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy welcomes Victoria Hendricks, Film Producer, to discuss legendary author and UFO-ologist Whitley Streiber's book THE KEY..   .MORE >>

Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) - 1236

    in Self Help

Tonight's special guest is Kym Harmony Tracy from Robinson, Illinois, a returning NAASCA family member who's a survivor and activist and an Inspirational Christian speaker. "For most of my life I've have heard, 'but you seem so normal.' Well, I'm far from normal. As a matter of fact, I call my life a beautiful mess," says Kym. "And then, just when I thought I could no longer take it, when I felt I couldn't even breathe, God entered my life at just the right time." Kym reports, "I have experienced many things from most all forms of [sexual] mental, physical and emotional abuse as well as divorce and dysfunctional relationships." She was in the second grade when she was first molested. At 9 she was abused by a babysitter and at 16, still a virgin, she was date-raped by her then boyfriend. Kym says, "Since we last spoke I decided I really needed to get down to the rawness of my wounds. I felt to really feel that true pain I needed to revisit the places that the monsters changed my life for ever." She goes on, "I went back to childhood places of attacks. I spoke with my rapist. I confronted my abusive father. I gained much more insight as to my purpose and what God has planted in my heart." She concludes, This past year has been a whirlwind of emotions and some have physically tried to stop me from speaking out. I AM READY TO ROAR!"
