Dealing with the loss of a child can be the most devastating experience a parent can go through, the loss of continuity, the loss of future, the loss of hope.

Going through such pain may make the person stronger or it may do away with all hopes to have a life. What makes it possible for some people to go ahead with their pain, their tears, but still on with their lives? What makes some human beings more able to deal and grow from pain than some others? We all have it in us; it may be a matter of knowing how to embrace the pain and how to tap in to love.

To tell us about her own experience and how she has made a quest to save other mothers from additional pain in the face of accidental death, we have invited Carmela Wiant, a relentless warrior, a woman of great sensibility and admirable strength.
