Coming up on this week's edition of the G3 Podcast:

-Useless Multiplayer:  Does every game coming out nowadays really need multiplayer functionality, especially when it doesn't add anything to the game outside of another play mode, and is universally panned by everybody?  It's a trend you've seen in games like Assassin's Creed III, Tomb Raider and now God of War Ascension - Games that were typically single player campaigns with this added "bonus."  If these games were a vehicle, would multiplayer mode be a helpful sidecar, or a parking boot?

-God of War Ascension...is out, and the reception has been mixed.  Following up on its last major game that has been owned by approximately 10% of all PS3 owners, will the same numbers flock to this one?  We'll also throw out and discuss some of our favorite franchises over time that need definite prequel treatment, or some games that would have had really crappy or funny prequels.

-Nintendo's console incentive purchase system, which you've seen very heavily with the 3DS.  Nintendo will be releasing a special edition Pokemon 3DS to coincide the release of the new Mystery Dungeon Game, and are offering incentives to buyers of the console and the 2 games that come out March 24th.  We'll chat about the incentive, and whether this might keep happening for Nintendo consoles

-Christine says she's finished her PayDay review, just in time for a sequel.  Could this be for real?  We'll ask her and get her thoughts on the upcoming sequel too.

-A quick UFC 158 preview with Matt and Adam

All this, and our weekly Amazing Race update from Team Bromance Eh.

G3 is available for your listening pleasure this Thursday at 8 PM Pacific / 11 PM Eastern.
