Jon Baines is the owner of Jon Baines Tours: a unique travel company that specializes in medical tours, including China, India, Cuba, South Africa and Vietnam. The medical tours range from Midwives, Obstetricians and Paediatrics through to Palliative Care. Some specialist tours have included forensic medicine (South Africa) and occupational therapy (South India). They run many dental tours and an annual cruise.

Their cultural tours tend to focus on “off the beaten track” destinations including Ethiopia, Georgia and Armenia and the Silk Road lands of western China and Central Asia. They specialise in medical history with cruises taking academic speakers across the Mediterranean and Black Sea. We also run regular tours examining the life of Florence Nightingale in the UK, Istanbul and the Crimea.
