I think it's a combination of both. Russell basically said on the show, he wouldn't run away from any publisher offers, but on the other hand, he wasn't interested in jumping through all the hoops to get a publisher's attention. My take is he's thinking if it happens great, but he'll spend his time and energy self promoting his work rather than chasing publishers, it seems to be working for him so far! Great reading, why hasn't he been picked up by publisher? Do they not listen in on podcasts? Or does he choose to avoid the constraints and controls of the big publishers?
