Discussion tonight with Capitol Hill Insider and Analyst Elizabeth Letchworth Chryst centers around two major issues being deliberated in Congress this week:

Brietbart reports that Republicans in Congress have cooked up a phony poll-tested talking points to push Obama's trade deal.  So why is leadership in both the House and the Senate pushing to give Obama authority to negotiate trade deals while allowing themselves the only option of an up or down vote on the deals?

Sen. Jeff Sessions: Trade Deal Could Trigger Flood of Illegals:

"Past trade deals suggest there is precedent for such a move. In 2002, Sessions opposed giving President George W. Bush trade promotion authority. The following year, the Bush administration included temporary visas from Singapore and Chile in their respective trade pacts despite opposition from Congress."

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told reporters Tuesday the upper chamber will move forward on an Iran deal quickly.

The Kentucky Republican filed cloture, which ends debate on the matter and no member will be able to vote on any more amendments.
