President Barack Obama is finding himself with few friends in Washington.

His former Pentagon chief is criticizing his foreign policy. Longtime political advisers are questioning his campaign strategy. And Democrats locked in tough midterm campaigns don't want Obama anywhere near them between now and Election Day.

Senate Republicans are calling on Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to block any spending bill that pays for a program they deride as an “ObamaCare taxpayer bailout,” a move that could prompt another shutdown.

Obama says the borders will remain open to air travelers from ebola-infected countries, and those traveling on foot across the southern border.  Many are saying he's not doing his job to protect Americans.  Should Congress do something about it?  If so, what?

Our Capitol Hill Insider Elizabeth Letchworth gives us her take.
