Mrs. Bansberg is a minister and evangelist, located in Homeworth, Ohio. She received her calling in 1979, when a woman stopped her in a grocery store and asked her to pray for her. At that time Barbara was not in the religious field, but she stopped shopping and started praying. Mrs. Bansberg is also an educator, following in her grandmother’s footsteps. In her 36 plus years of teaching, she has taught handicapped and profoundly challenged students in grades K-12, covering eight counties. Growing up she had a cousin who was mildly retarded and he was her inspiration to work with that population. Of course, she finds her career to be very rewarding, and for the last 14 years has concentrated on high school level teaching. With less funding and more requirements, and the ‘No Child Left Behind’ act put into place, Mrs. Bansberg doesn’t hesitate to dig into her own pockets to assure that no one will get left behind.
