Dixon for the first “Throwback Thursday” on ART Imitates LIFE Radio Show!  Tanya will welcome R&B legends—lead singer/bassist of the legendary funk/R&B band ConFunkShun, MICHAEL COOPER, and lead vocalist, trumpet player, songwriter, producer and Grammy Award winner, SKIP MARTIN!  We will speak with Michael Cooper about his years as lead singer of ConFunkShun and his successful solo career with big hits like “Dinner for Two” and “Shoop Shoop”.  In the 2nd hour of the show we will speak with Skip Martin about being the former lead vocalist for Kool & the Gang and as lead vocalist for The Dazz Band (which won them a GRAMMY Award for the song “Let It Whip”), and his career of still working with other lead singers of all star bands today.
