Self Awareness 5: Knowing what you want and making it happen

Talia Buford learned early in life that she had the skills and passion to be a journalist. She has focused intently on the goal and it has led her to great heights very quickly. Talia worked for the Center for Public Integrity, a respected organization that produces impactful investigative journalism, at the time of our interview. She has since moved on to ProPublica, another highly regarded non-profit organization that delivers investigative journalism.  Ironically, Talia is an environmental journalist, hailing from Flint, Michigan; so maybe the water isn't that bad. She is an example of what can happen when we know our strengths and pursue our endeavors with determination.
