THE TRINITY: "three gods or TRUE GOD" - pt 4

This doctrine reveals intimate details concerning, not only the plurality of God’s person, but also the level of unity that exists within this plurality. It’s a doctrine that we of ARC prefer to call the doctrine of the “TRI-UNITY;” 3 persons, (not gods), in absolute unity. Repeatedly throughout the history of The Church many organizations have sprung up seeking to redefine the plurality and unity of the God of the Bible. The most prominent being "TRITHEISTS" who taught the Godhead is 3 separate beings forming 3 separate gods. A version of this theology is held today byMormons; "MODALISTS" who erred in the opposite direction of Tritheistsm by illustrating that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit weren’t 3  persons at all, but rather, 3 manifestations of the one God. A version of this theology is held today by groups identifying themselves as "Jesus Only Pentecostals;" and lastly "ARIANISM" which held that The Father alone is truly God, with the Son being His first and only direct creation, and the Holy Spirit being reduced to being an “active force,” This view is held today by Jehovah’s Witnesses. The purpose of this ARC Studies Live! series is to put to rest once and for all every speculation as to how THREE PERSONS can exist as ONE GOD.
