Aleksandar Petakov is a documentary filmmaker and multimedia artist, as well as an avid adventurer and constantly searching for the unknown. Traveling across the United States and the world, Aleksandar has researched various Cryptozoological creatures such as Sasquatch, the Loch Ness Monster, the Lake Champlain monster, Mystery big cats as well as other phenomenon and mysterious places ranging from the paranormal Bridgewater Triangle of Massachusetts to the Hermit Kingdom of North Korea. He has created short documentary films and series on these subjects, among others.

"Aleksandar’s current project Lions of the East is an investigative documentary looking into the decades of sightings of mountain lions and mystery big cats in New England, despite them being officially extinct throughout the region for nearly a century.  His 2018 documentary series On the Trail of…Champ for Small Town Monsters is a five-part series described as the most in depth examination-depth of “America’s Loch Ness Monster” known as “Champ” of Lake Champlain.

 In 2016 Aleksandar started an open-ended documentary web-series about the topic of Bigfoot called Sasquatch: Out of the Shadows that covers the fascinating Bigfoot subject and has taken him across the United States to interview dozens of eyewitnesses, researchers and those involved in the subject. The project is ongoing.

Mystery at Loch Ness was Aleksandar’s first Cryptozoology documentary, debuting in 2016, all about one of the most famous Cryptozoological creatures, the Loch Ness Monster known as "Nessie" of Scotland’s famed Loch Ness.  Aleksandar has collaborated with various filmmakers, researchers and investigators on a variety of cryptozoological and paranormal projects including on the ground research, a Bigfoot-themed comic book, conferences and more.
