I was going to talk about my experience at the Rhode Island COMICON, yesterday- but I think I still need to process that a little.  

What I will discuss, instead, is Effective Journaling.  

Can't stress this enough!  Journaling can help in numerous ways.  Julia Cameron, author of one of my favorite self-help books- The Artists Way, encourages "Morning Pages" where you get up earlier to write through 5-10 minutes to clear your mind of junk.  

That's certainly good, it's good to clear your mind and get to the critical mass, shall we say. 

The trick is... When you get to the Critical mass, you have to remember what to do with it!  I know my habit was to continue on with the junky, grumbly outlook from the more general type of journaling I would do.  I recently decided to change that and be more... active and upbeat.  

Habits die pretty hard tho...
