Closing out 2013 and getting ready for 2014 means celebrating all of the formal goals you reached and all of the unexpected good things that came your way.

As artists we often finish a painting and then whip out the next canvas without celebrating our accomplishment. What is it we might miss when we don't acknowledge our progress, especially the small steps along the way?

Please call in and celebrate, brag do a happy dance in honor of all you do as an artist in the world. As artists we speak in intangibles, in colors and emotions.  Without each of you the world would be stark and unexamined. How are you using your talents and what would you like to take forward in 2014 and what would you like to leave behind?

Getting ready for goal setting by looking your past year is the first step. Where do you want to be this time next year? Are you going to add a new gallery to show your work? Learn a new technique? Explore a new medium? License your artwork? Teach a class?
