Civil Rights and how the Republicans have Taken US Pre-1964

This week on Black People Business Wednesday, we will continue with our discussion on what went on during the Civil Rights Movement, but not in the typical way.  For so many years, it has been presented as ROSY when it was absolutely NOT!  We will continue with the Sit-Ins, Bus Boycott and the Freedom Riders.

The suffering of Black people is taken as something to be forgotten, and why not!  Who would want to focus on the inhumane treatment over hundreds of years in a country where those same people are not treated much differently today and have yet to reap any benefit as most that come to this country?  But I want to focus on it; we all need to remind ourselves of it if for no other reason then to give thanks to those who sacrificed so we could be free.  Those of us who fail to remember and recall history are doomed to repeat it and just SIT and accept things as they are dished out to you.

We are most certainly repeating history and the taking of rights one law at a time today!  And if you don’t know you do now. This is exactly how slavery in America becomes an institution, one law at a time.  We will talk about that today as well. 

When a political party PURPOSELY passes LAWS that take away the VOTING RIGHTS of millions of people because they simply know THEY CANNOT WIN IN A FAIR FIGHT… we are repeating history.
