Introducing the AAASM Diary - AAASM Diary hits! There is no shortage of issues with respect to the Black community. Happy Birthday America! The one thing my Father always made sure to do was to gather his huge family and all his friends in his home each holiday and feed them. And as his youngest, I have always done the same. We will celebrate the holiday with family and friends today on the show and we call this show, “Hope for Eli”. As everyone knows by now, Eli is my grandson and will be two this month. Eli will know a world where it is not big thing that we had a BLACK PRESIDENT. So on this, America’s Birthday 2010; we as a family hope that Eli continues to see positive representations of his race and that this will give him hope to also achieve BIG THINGS! We will discuss what the 4th of July means to three generations of African American’s. What does it mean to me as a single mother of 45 years of age, what does it mean to my 22 year old daughter and lastly and most important to me, what does the 4th of July mean to the African American male. We will ask Rodney my son in law and Gabrial, my adopted son. This will be interesting for sure as the family and friends I dearly love share fun and feelings on today’s show. And again we will name the recipient of this week’s “Dumb MF of the Week” Award. And as always, we will have the best in specially chosen musical licks for your enjoyment. Join me and the fammy fams today at 3pm.
