Introducing the AAASM Diary - AAASM Diary hits! There is no shortage of issues with respect to the Black community. Where would I be if my father would have walked out on us like so many do today? Because of my Father I gained an incredible love of Music that has saved my life. Because of my Dad I gained an incredible love of Blackness and Africa. Because of my Dad, I learned to desire entrepreneurship. Because of my Dad, I learned to love and value education. Because of my Dad (not my Mother), I learned what a difference LOVE can make. What an injustice to take a father from a child but we do it every day as if a child is a dog we just don’t want anymore. This Sunday on The Diary, I will honor my Father; tell a little about his life as my Dad and as an accomplished musician, quartet leader businessman and Father of 11 children. We will honor all fathers who stick it out and stay in there and raise their kids to the end. We will also talk about the sorry ones and the damage they do to Mother and Son when the Mother is left to be Mommy and Daddy (hint, hint, personal experience). We will continue with our discussion on the role of Blacks during the Revolutionary War and have some special Music as usual. News Flash…I’m a solo act now and I will tell you how and why that came to be…..See you this Sunday…
