The AAASM Diary - A New Loud Voice for Black America

We at The Diary feel as Black Americans, we must remember the events of our past in order to make for a better future. It has been said, “For the lack of a leader, a people are lost” and “Those who fail to know their history, are doomed to repeat it”. These two things can no longer be the case for poor Black Americans. Wealthy Black Americans have failed each and every one of them. Blacks must start from square one to rebuild many of the ideas long lost and no longer accept the status quo. Build new life from the inside out. To do this you must know where your people have been and how they have fought to ensure your freedoms, freedoms we must respect and uphold. So, this Sunday on The Diary, we will continue our discussion on erasing Black Apathy in the Black Community through Love, Peace, Unity and the Reconstruction of Black Society. We will continue in our discussion of A Common Destiny: Blacks & American Society. In this session we will discuss determinants of Black Status. We will continue our discussion of the takeover of Black Music by corporations. We will discuss the demise of Black owned companies such as Stax Records, Sussex Records by CBS (Columbia Records). Why did we sale out? Let’s imagine a world without the sale out! Lastly, we will examine the behavior of some of our leaders during the weekend of the last Health Care debate. Death threats, voicemails, spitting on Black leadership, calling of the N word. What does this really say about America fourth-five years after the passage of the Civil Rights Act. Why are there so few Black faces involved on either side? Is it a Black White issue? Is the issue really Healthcare issue or something else? Are there no people of color on the Right that will stand up to stop the violence?
