Introducing the AAASM Diary - AAASM Diary hits! There is no shortage of issues with respect to the Black community. AAASM Diary tackles issues of the day, issues that Blacks should be aware of, contemplate on and take action on! The AAASM Diary focuses on everyday issues, looks through the smoke to reveal the effects on the Black community. This week on The Diary, in honor of the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, we will discuss his work in his last year of life and how he felt his Dream turned into a nightmare. We will discuss Haiti, its history and its recent tragedy. Most importantly, we will discuss the treatment of people or color when tragedy hits. Are the Haitian people being treated similar to the victims of Katrina, or worse? How fast does America move when Countries and people in color are in need? We will continue our discussion on the work of the Southern Poverty Law Center. My Co-host Rae will tell us about the steps needed to turn a thought into a law. Lastly, we will feature a very nice selection of African melodies in honor of our African American culture.
