Our Guests Dr. Kasongo is a board-certified emergency physician, a nationally published writer. Born in Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo), Kasongo received a Master’s degree from the Columbia School of Journalism, co-founded the Black Star News,and worked as a freelance reporter for many news venues including InStyle Magazine and Institutional Investor.Kasongo currently serves as an attending physician at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. Most recently, Dr. Kasongo has done heroic work in the aftermath of Haiti’s devastating earthquake on the ground as an emergency relief doctor with 10 other medical professionals who traveled to the Haitian-Dominican border to work at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Tara Allmen MD is a National Certified Menopause Practitioner, Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Fellow of the American College of Ob-Gyn, and CEO of the Allmen Foundation. She got busy and created The Dean and Betty Gallo Prostate Cancer Center, named for Congressman Dean A. Gallo, a respected and beloved man who served the people of New Jersey at the local, state, and federal levels, and who lost his life to prostate cancer in 1994 at the age of 58. Betty also co-founded Women Against Prostate Cancer as a way to provide help and resources to women whose family members have been impacted by the disease. Theresa S. Morrow Co-Founder and Program Director, Women Against Prostate Cancer Theresa has recently co-founded the newly formed, Women Against Prostate Cancer, a national organization working to unite the voices and provide support for the millions of women affected by prostate cancer and their families.
