“Hope for the Warriors” is a non-profit organization which was started as a grassroots effort and has now expanded to the national level to enhance the quality of life for post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty.  It is dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope for our service members and our military families.  Hope for the Warriors has received many awards and citations, including the top rating by the Charity Navigator for its stewardship as an outstanding non-profit organization and in 2011, it was highlighted by President George W. Bush at The Bush Center Warrior Open.
Joining us today are Tina Altherall, a licensed social worker and Executive Vice President for “Hope for the Warriors” and Denise Olsen, who provides yoga instruction to active and retired military personnel with PTSD.  She is also the wife of a firefighter who was killed on 9/11.  For more information about “Hope for the Warriors,” visit their website at www.hopeforthewarriors.org
