America Meditating-Reemberto Rodriguez

In 2009, Reemberto Rodriguez was appointed as the Director of the Silver Spring Regional Area Center in Maryland.  He previously developed training programs for community organizers and non-profit organizations and served in Atlanta’s department of housing and economic development where he coordinated business interests, local government, and area residents in reshaping Atlanta’s downtown area.  His extensive background in building community partnerships, planning and revitalization has been instrumental in the revitalization of the Silver Spring community.  Speaking on the redevelopment of the Silver Spring community, Mr. Rodriguez said, “Our challenge is to maximize this amazing, wonderful energy that is a combination of the old and the new, big businesses and small businesses, to celebrate and affirm all that Silver Spring is.”FR
