Building an excellent research –driven, teaching and practitioner-oriented program focused on transforming the economy of Newark, New Jersey, and other urban centers, was her vision. Dr ogilvie is an Associate Professor at Rutgers Business School where she teaches business strategy, creativity in business, and executive leadership & international negotiations. She is a speaker, author, & guest columnist. Her article “How African-American Women Lead” is a must read. She continues in her role as a longstanding (22 years) member of the National Black MBA Association, where she served for 9 years on its Board of Directors, most recently as Vice Chair of the Board.
