Hello, True Believers!  Welcome to another fascinating and funky edition of Afronerd Radio's Grindhouse Sundays!  Always double the time and double the fun.   Check out The Comic Shoppe at 6pm where the hosts, Daryll B., Captain Kirk and Dburt discuss this week's following pulp inspired issues:  Dark Horse Comics has an upcoming dystopic comic entitled, Number 13 featuring a young Black cyborg; the Justice League movie gets a 2015 release date; just how many cross referenced aka "rip off" characters exist between comic book companies?; picking up from last week show, a ComicBookMovie.com op-ed posits that the lack of interesting villains is what hinders Black superhero films from being developed and lastly, our thoughts on the CW's new Arrow TV series.

And then batting second, Afronerd Radio airs at 7pm.  Dburt and Captain Kirk while utliizing their analytical conservative (and oftentimes independent) skills, will shed some light on the following topics:  metal detectors being used for a Jay-z concert and not a Barbra Streisand event at the same venue are causing some to make claims of racism (yawn..);  was Gov. Romney wrong for making single parenting and gun violence connections during last week's presidential debates?; recent polling appears to affirm that minorities are identifying as gay more than Whites and if time permits, we will address some of the topics that we failed to unpack from Wednesday show!  Call us live at 646-915-9620!
