Jackie Gingrich Cushman is an author, a speaker on the founding principles of our nation, and a nationally syndicated columnist. She is founder and Board Chair of the Learning Makes a Difference Foundation. Jackie graduated cum laude from Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. She received her MBA from Georgia State University in Atlanta and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. She lives with her husband, Jimmy, and their two children (oft referred to on the campaign trail as her father’s “debate coaches”) in Atlanta, Georgia.


Paul A. Rahe holds The Charles O. Lee and Louise K. Lee Chair in the Western Heritage at Hillsdale College, where he is Professor of History. He is author of Republics Ancient and Modern: Classical Republicanism and the American Revolution (1992) and of Against Throne and Altar: Machiavelli and Political Theory under the English Republic (2008), co-editor ofMontesquieu’s Science of Politics: Essays on the Spirit of Laws (2001), and editor ofMachiavelli’s Liberal Republican Legacy (2006).
