Why Should I Get Married? Am I Ready? Episode 3

Growing older, we are often pressured to settle down and choose that special someone.  Statistics suggests that merely half of first time marriages within the church end in divorce.  Second time and third time marriage statistics within the church exceed this rate. 

Is it safe to conclude that many people who jump into the marriage bed have not truly counted up the cost of what marriage is all about?  Marriage is selfless.  You should be prepared before taking this road. 

Contrary to popular belief, marriage is not a fire extinguisher.  If you are nasty now, you're probably going to be nasty when you get married.  If you are not practicing self control now, you most likely will not be able to practice self control when you are married.   If you are not submitted to God now, you probably won't be submitted to God within your marriage. 

Let's talk 4RealTalk!  How do I prepare for marriage?  Is marriage what I really want?  Who should I marry?  What should I look for?  Has God already picked my mate?  Can you love two people at the same time?  I have kids but I don't want someone with kids.  Is that wrong?  I want someone with money.  Is that wrong?  I want someone who is beautiful and fit.  Is this superficial?
