Traditionally, the throwing motion of quarterbacks have been scrutinized, and unfortunately, largely un coached by many professing to be skills coaches. "It's impossible to coach a QB's throwing motion. Just coach his feet," is often heard and followed to this day. However, a few coaches have ignored this and have broken down the throwing motion using science. However, this is not all. Being a quarterback requires a mindset of being a leader and play-maker. The combination of technique and psychology is not even taught or learned. But it can be done.

Our guest today is Coach Darin Slack of Quarterback Academy who will discuss both the proper throwing mechanics that he teaches to his many athletes, youth to elite, as well as the mindset that must accompany the position.

Darin Slack,  a Florida 6A All-State high school QB — attend the University of Central Florida.  In 1987, as a senior, he set 34 school and national passing records. Voted Football News and Kodak ALL-AMERICAN in that season. Since 1988, Coach Slack has trained over 18,000 quarterbacks through The Quarterback Academy and other clinics. He has positioned himself as one of the best teachers of QB fundamentals in the nation. During this time, he has pioneered training techniques that are simple, yet extremely effective at producing successful results for any QB, at any level.
