This week you will meet Jared Barnes a 21 year old cancer survivor.

'I know a lot of people pursuing careers and degrees that they are not passionate about. They feel pressure from the world, from their family and friends. Some of my friends started out doing one major and have recently switched to doing something else. When you're young you feel like you have to live for everyone else instead of living for yourself. You feel the need to impress your friends when the truth is they don't care. We feel the need to make out parents happy with our career path when its our lives and our journey. We stay friends with the same people from high school or we hold on to those same friends. As we grow as people we figure out who we are and what we want and many times we grow out of friendships. The problem is many people my age don't even pay attention to that and that's why many are stuck in the same place wanting more from life but they don't know how to get it.'

This week's musical artist, Sunday Lane, is not your typical singer/songwriter who left Middle America for the City of Angels. A classically trained pianist, she writes articulate lyrics about social injustices in our society, young love, and growing up. Her soulful approach to songwriting expresses the depth of her musicianship.
