The Spotlight Show Presents An Afternoon With Ca’Nita Rogers

Today's Show be Singing Sensation CCa’Nita Rogers.

Ca’Nita Rogers is an exceptional classical pianist/keyboardist/bassist. She professed her desire of music to her parents at the age of nine. Ca’Nita received a music scholarship to attend Alabama A&M University (AAMU) in the fall of 1996. While attending school, she begin working in various studios in the Huntsville, AL area. The exposure to other musicians she received while working in studios encouraged her to learn the bass and guitar. In May 2002, she graduated from AAMU with a B.S. degree in music education (piano and choral). Ca’Nita has also been involved in numerous activities, pledging Sigma Alpha Iota music fraternity for women, a member of AAMU choir, the keyboardist for AAMU jazz band, the bassist for an all-female band “Paradigm” in Huntsville, AL, the keyboardist/singer/songwriter and periodic bassist for band “Remedy,” also located in Huntsville, AL, the keyboardist for gospel recording artist Sean Simmonds (Alliant Records/Xist Records) in Atlanta, GA, and she is the bassist for hip-hop artist BoneCrusher and his band “The Onslaught” in Atlanta, GA. She is also touring with a pop/rock/country all-female group called “The Sheagles” located in Nashville, TN as the keyboardist/organist. Ca’Nita has also done production for R&B band Remedy, gospel artist Sean Simmonds (Alliant Records/Xist Records), gospel artist Porsha Ray, gospel hip-hop artist King David, hip-hop artist BoneCrusher (Vainglorious Records), R&B duo-group RecognitioN, spoken word artist Marc Lacy (AVO Publishing), actress/pop singer Chelsea Tavares (appeared in Unfabulous/Just Jordan), and many other artist in and out of the area. She has received numerous awards for her musical talent and skills. Ca’Nita continues to be tenacious as she excels to accomplish her goals and aspirations of becoming a well-known dynamic musician.
