Author Robyn Michaels
I've always been a writer, and I've always worked with dogs (to my parents horror). While my friends were accumulating college debt, I was making a living grooming dogs. I've also trained dogs. After divorcing my high school sweetheart, I traveled to Africa (Tanzania) when I was 30, & that changed my life. I returned, took CLEP exams, and started going to college---paying as I went (majoring in Africa area studies). I got an assistantship to grad school, but there were no jobs when I graduated, so I joined Peace Corps, serving as a 'town planner' in Blantyre, Malawi. I've been back to Africa 4 more times, and I've c volunteered in urban India, and was a U.N. Volunteer in Africa. I wrote The Pleasure Seeker because I know what it's like to be an 'other'. People believe so many myths about others, and now, with the internet, those myths spread faster. Jews are actually a minority in the U.S,A., and most of us are secular. We're not Zionists. But Sikh are even more of a minority, and are constantly confused with being either Muslim or Hindu...and are often attacked out of hatred. The book is based on real African and music history.

Dating back to 1865, Juneteenth commemorates the day when 250,000 slaves in the state of Texas, which became the last bastion for slavery during the final days of the Civil War, were declared free by the U.S. Army. So tonight we celebrate our Independence day with music, chat and sharing information about the holiday. Tune in, and tell a friend (or 5).

Zen Ase Zennurgy
My name is Zen Ase and I’m a best selling author, performer and globally ranked podcaster. I began journaling as a kid and have been hooked on writing ever since, but life has a way of derailing our passions. My family didn’t support my career as a writer, so I became and award winner teacher and got married. I stopped writing for 17 years. In 2014, I went through a divorce and decided to reclaim my dreams. I started writing again and performing poetry. I’ve written 5 books, four of them Amazon best sellers, and been published in dozens of magazines. I’ve performed over 100 times and organized dozens of cultural events. My work in the community gained me a Congressional Award for activism. Today, I’m a semi-retired grandmother of 4 who also focuses on my passion projects, which include my podcast Zennurgy, which is globally ranked in the top 10%. My hope is to help others hone their inner voice and crystallize their purpose, just like I did. I think a key ingredient to success is deciding for yourself what success is. There are many ways to get there. For me, it has been following my intuition and using art to heal and to make sense of the world around me. To those reading this bio, I say: Enhance your life, impact your circle, small changes lead to big results. May you walk in Zennurgy!

THE RETURN of 'THE EMILY PEARLS SHOW "live"
THE RETURN of 'THE EMILY PEARLS SHOW "live"
So, we got several requests and questions as to why we left radio. Well, 'live streaming broadcasting' with camera's (webcams) on so many platforms came along. So, we went there, and that's where we've been for the past 7 years. We have a huge following, true. But we want to try out our old stomping ground for about a month or so, to see if the service, audience interactions, and volume of calls have increased. With technology advanced as far as it has, we hope that you will fulfill our hopes. If you want us to stick around, be sure to refer our show, listen, call in, talk, and keep us company for an hour or so. Can't wait to start a conversation with you. SEE YOU SOON! Share our 1st scheduled show everywhere for us. THANKS!
