Over the past few years the numbers of attacks and acts of violence in our nation's places of worship within the United States of America have become alarming.  We are having people robbed, assaulted and even killed in these places that use to safe. Churches, members and their leadership we have to open our eyes to the world that we live in today.  We cannot afford to have the belief that it will not happen to us.  We cannot forget that the lord takes care of those who take care of themselves.   We are given the tools that we need to protect ourselves and those of our loved ones.  However we have to put those tools to use and get the training and education needed to protect ourselves and that of our members.   This is not a joke and I am not playing this is very serious business.

Below are just a few examples of the types of incidents happening around the nation. There are far too many to list them all. We have collected more then 70 pages of incidents.

2010-12-23 Los Angeles, CA

As police were driving by the San Antonio De Padua Church, they saw a man and a boy attacking another male outside the church. The victim was killed by the attacker’s shots before the officers could intervene, but they did arrest both suspects. The incident is suspected to be gang related.

2010-12-25 South Jordan, UT

54-year old Daniel Pogue (who had some history of mental instability) roamed the grounds of the LDS Oquirrh Mountain Temple pointing a shotgun at people and chopping at the fence with a machete. When police arrived, he grabbed another shotgun from his car and took a defensive position behind his vehicle. He was shot and killed by law enforcement as he continued to ignore their demands and moved towards bystanders with his weapon. Other guns, swords and ammunition were found in his car afterwards.
