The Yvonne Pierre Show welcomes Yvette Ayana Broughton an experienced, award winning content producer with over 10 years of experience in the entertainment and non-profit sector. She is the owner and CEO of Purple Sky Entertainment, a limited liability company based in Atlanta, GA that produces morally constructive content, creating campaigns that blend faith, conversation and culture for social change. The Raising Kings Project is our first social change initiative.  Before starting Purple Sky Entertainment, she served as V. P. of Production for Atlanta based cable network the Black Family Channel (BFC). There she oversaw original production for BFC and worked alongside Robert Townsend Productions. She served as executive producer for all of the network’s original comedy, entertainment and children’s programming including teen talk show Lisa Knight and the Roundtable, which tied with the Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven, earning BFC its first NAMIC Vision Award. She was also responsible for the development of critically acclaimed poetry show Spoken hosted by Apollo Legend Jessica Care Moore. 

 

She currently serves as Producer for an international broadcast ministry. She is experienced in field, studio and live event production. She has traveled to South Africa, Brazil and recently Haiti to cover the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake.  Yvette is a member of NAMIC (National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications), the World Affairs Council, and a graduate of the United Way’s VIP Non Profit Board Training Program.  For more information, visit www.RaisingKings.tv
