Welcome to Youth Speak.  As I was reflecting on the stories that have been shared this week on Youth Speak, I had a flashback.  Many years ago, my niece introduced me to the book called the Indigo Children written by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober. As I glanced through, I knew that these were the children that formed 25% of my first grade class at that time. These children were characterized as those that were here to "break up" the "systems"  that were in place at that time, which were not working for the good of all, such as the educational system, health system and political system.  In the classroom, they were the children that wanted to be part of the solution to any problem that came up in the classroom. They did not respond well when strict rules attempted to be enforced upon them. After the Indigo Children, the Crystal Children appeared. These children were characterized as having magnetic personalities, highly affectionate and very much connected to animals, nature and sensitivity to the feelings of people.

SO my question is, "Are the amazing acts we are witnessing by extraordinary children today, the results of these Indigo and Crystal children, living life?" AND "What are these children showing us, about how to live?"  Is there a lesson for all of us here?  These are some of the questions we'll play with today on Youth Speak!  Join us.
