Join Susan as she talks with Piper Anderson, a Performance Artist, Writer, Educator, and Life Coach.She is Master Teaching-Artist and Company Member at American Place Theatre andan Adjunct Faculty member at New York University’s Gallatin School ofIndividualized Study. From 2006-2008 she embarked on a national tour of her solo show, IN HER MEMORY, the story of a young woman’s journey to heal the wounds of intimate partner violence. The show has spawned the creation of a curriculum and a book, SeekingWisdom: The In Her Memory Guidebook and workshop curriculum empowering young people to engage in healthy relationships. Anderson facilitates professional development trainings for educators and youth workers across the country, offering workshops andlectures on topics ranging from Youth Development through the Arts, Theatre-in-Education,arts & activism, using popular culture as an educational tool, andmobilizing communities through the arts and culture..Her writings have been featured in numerous publications and four books. She has trained in the healing arts, completing certifications in Reiki and Empowerment Life Coaching. She holds a Masters of Arts in Applied Theatre from CUNY and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from the New School where she was a Riggio Writing DemocracyFellow.
