Women Warriors - It's a Dog's Life

This week on Women Warriors, Wed, Dec 19^th at noon ET, our special guest is author, Elizabeth Dodwell as she discusses the topic, “It’s a Dog’s Life”.   Elizabeth has a great affinity with animals and she uses their inspiration to help inspire her followers.   Join us on Women Warriors and to learn more about her pet adventures and what they might mean to you.

Elizabeth was  born and raised in the elegant Regency town of Cheltenham, England.  The only pet she was allowed to have was a found tortoise that she named Cedric.  ‘He’ actually turned out to be a ‘she’.  If you'd asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up, she would have told you a vet or an actress. Three days after her 17th birthday she struck out on her own.

Elizabeth has worked in fields of insurance, sales, administration, food and beverage and even worked with a shipwreck treasure hunter.

Today, Elizabeth owns and operates, The BARKtender's Guide, LLC. It is her primary occupation and avocation because it not only provides her the means to make a living but does so while allowing her to embrace her desire to give abandoned and abused animals a second chance at a happy life by raising funds and awareness with book sales (The BARKtender's Guide to Dogtails and Pupcakes) and speaking engagements.
