Emerging Female Artists Series: Michelle Geromel

Women's Voice Radio introduces another amazing emerging female artist; Michelle Geromel on our Featured Artists Series. Her work has been seen nationally in art shows and publications. And her paintings hang in various collections throughout the United States and Africa. Michelle has been an artist her entire life. Her earlier works were in colored pencil and pastel. It wasn’t until after she took a detour into corporate life, and was looking to reconnect with her creativity, that she began to paint. In time this led to Michelle leaving corporate America and becoming a full-time artist.Michelle is known for her figurative paintings. She has gained recognition for her strong, empowering renderings which highlight the beauty of the female and male body though use of accentuated lighting and color values. Here is an excerpt from her Artist's Statement " Recently at a show a woman stopped in front of my booth with her young daughters, and pointed to my female series. She said to her girls “See - there is nothing to be ashamed of.
