Survivor in Southern California Infamous Sexual Assault Trial Shares Her Story

Alisa Kaplan is not a name one might recognize initially, but she is the survivor involved in one of the most infamous sexual assault trials in SouthernCalifornia history. Having remained relatively silent over the last 13 years, she is now telling her story in her first book Still Room For Hope: A Survivor's Story of Sexual Assault, Forgiveness, and Freedom 

In Still Room For Hope,Kaplan shares the dramatic account of what happened to her, the shame and humility that nearly destroyed her, and her journey on the road to becoming more than just a victim.

In 2002, three men forever changed 16-year-old Kaplan's life when she became an innocent victim to a brutal gang rape that was captured on tape. As if the grotesque actions against Kaplan were not horrific enough, this vibrant, young teenager lost all sense of self-worth, became crippled by drug abuse, depression and homelessness, and soon found her entire world falling apart.
